Mediatrix 3000 is Media5Â’s modular platform enabling VoIP networks by providing both analog and digital telephony interfaces. The Mediatrix 3000 gateways are fully scalable in terms of number of ports and functionalities in order to connect any SIP phone, analog phone or fax, as well as PBX and PSTN to an IP network. Automatic update features and provider-specific profiles ensure ease deployment for SMB VoIP hosted applications. The 3000 series is designed for low-density enterprise premises migrating to VoIP.

Digital Gateway Application (DGW) is available in two firmware versions: DGW v1.1 and DGW v2.0. The main difference between the two versions is the capability for Security in DGW v2.0. This is the functionality for encryption of the media and signalling. DGW v2.0 provides SRTP for encryption of voice, while SIP over TLS provides for encryption of the signalling.
